Detectives have arrested Aritry’s class teacher of the Viqarunnisa Noon School and College Hasna Hena over the suicide of its ninth-grade student Aritry Adhikary.

M Atiqul Islam, an assistant commissioner of DMP’s Detective Branch (DB) of police, said she, Aritry’s class teacher, was arrested from capital’s Uttara area around 11:30pm last night.

Hasna Hena is the number three accused in the case filed by Aritry’s father Dilip Adhikary for instigating his daughter’s suicide, said the DB official adding that she was taken to the DB office after arrest.

The two others accused in a case started by Aritry’s father are acting Principal Nazneen Ferdous and morning shift in-charge Zinat Akhtar.

Authorities of the institution sacked the three yesterday evening following the government order after two days of protests surrounding the suicide of Aritry.
