Priota Iftekhar wins International award

Priota Iftekhar, known as the ‘Flag Girl’ of Bangladesh at home and abroad, received international award. She won the Global Next Generation Leaders Award 2022 at The Nepal-Bangladesh Next Generation Leaders Summit 2022 for her outstanding contribution to the flag girl youth, social movement and women’s empowerment.
The selection was made after intense research and careful observation by the ‘Global Youth Parliament and the GLTS Global Citizen Nomination Committee’. Which is actively working for the sole purpose of identifying the best and brightest qualified candidates in Bangladesh. The Next Generation Youth Leadership International Conference of the Global Youth Parliament kicked off on Wednesday, March 23, in Kathmandu, Nepal.
Salauddin Noman Chowdhury, Ambassador of Bangladesh to Nepal was the chief guest at the function organized by Nepal Tourism Board in Kathmandu. Nepal’s Youth Minister Maheshwar Gahatraj Athak was the President.
Also present as special guests were the President of the Youth Council of Nepal, the President of the Global Youth Parliament Divakar Arial and other dignitaries from Bangladesh and the international arena.  MP Shamim Haider Chowdhury, Solaiman Sokhan, GLTS COO Advocate Mahin Mehrab Anik, Bangladesh Supreme Court lawyer Al-Mamun Russell, Md. Priyota Iftekhar were present on the occasion. Mahir Dayan, journalist Hasnat Tushar and many others have received awards and honors for their special contribution in the social arena and youth leadership.
