TBT Report : In an eventful ceremony, the Department of Oceanography of Dhaka University received its newly admitted first year students on January 21, 2019. The students, who registered in the four year honors programs offered by the department for the session of 2018-19, were introduced to the Oceanography Department family by the chairman and top faculty Md. Jobaer Alam.

In his speech, the chairman reiterated the department’s aim to provide best quality education and research facilities offered in Bangladesh along with the promise of bright career potential who will graduate with bright academic results.

The orientation program also provided scope to the students, getting to connect with their faculty members and mentors more on a personal level. The students were served with light snacks to cater their gastronomy.
