Prof. Mohammad A. Momen has been appointed Director of the Institute of Business Administration (IBA). DU Vice-Chancellor Prof. Dr. Md. Akhtaruzzaman gave him this appointment. He joined his office today, June 30, 2021.
Prof. Mohammad A. Momen joined the University of Dhaka in 1984 as a Lecturer in the Department of Finance.

After serving the department for 10 years, he joined the Institute of Business Administration (IBA) of University of Dhaka as an Associate Professor. He has held a number of administrative positions in the institute over the years.
A University of Dhaka alumnus, Professor Momen received his Bachelor’s and Master’s degree securing first class-second position and first class-first position respectively from the Department of Finance. He later completed his MBA with an outstanding result from Drake University, USA.

Coming from an entrepreneurial family, Professor Momen has decades of hands-on experience and industry expertise in manufacturing and exports. He has served as a director of BGMEA andis currently serving as a director of Bangladesh Employers’ Federation. He has also worked as a consultant, advisor, and selector for a number of public and private organizations.
