Saddam Sumon, JU Correspondent: Students and teachers of Jahangirnagar University (JU) under the banner of ‘Jahangirnagar against Corruption’ are going to organize a protest program at Shahbag on Saturday afternoon demanding to open the dormitories and to create a congenial environment of education.

The coordinator of the ongoing movement, Professor Rayhan Rhyne made disclose the fresh protest program at a press conference held at Teachers’ Lounge of New arts building on the university campus here on Thursday afternoon.

Professor Md. Khabir Uddin of Environmental Sciences, Professor Tareq Reza of Bangla Department, President of Bangladesh Students’ Union JU unit Nazir Amin Chowdhury Joy, and President of Socialists Students’ Front JU unit president Mahathir Mohammad were also present, among others.

Earlier, the protesters had given an ultimatum on November 13 to open the dormitories by November 21 but the university authority did not pay heed to them.
