In early 2007, her media journey began. She came to the discussion as a model of Pran Toast. Then there was no looking back for her. She shooted for several popular commercials one by one. Among these were Grameenphone package advertisement, Bashundhara Residential Plot, Coca Cola Noodles and several popular advertisements. She became successful by acting in dramas also. Her notable dramas are SalahuddinLavlu’s ‘Harkipte’, ShamimZaman’s ‘Alta Sundari’, ‘Capsule 500mg’, ‘Tow Tow Company Limited’, ‘Gulshan Avenue’ and several other popular dramas. Her film journey started with ‘Run Out’ directed by TanmoyTansen. Romana acted in the same director’s film ‘Padma PatarJal’. After that, she acted in another film called ‘Ditiyo Lingo’ directed by AniruddhoRasel. Romana has acted equally in the country and outside of the country. Outside the country, she also acted in the film called “RupkotharGolpo” in India. Romana has left her mark in modeling. The glamor lady has also model for Egloo, Ruchi, Bashundhara Residential Thai Glass, KNB Feed, Excellent Tulsi Juice, Peerless Hospital (Kolkata).

Romana also judged a beauty pageant show named ‘Borsha Sundari-2017’ organized jointly by Bangladesh and India.She has been awarded various awards in recognition of her work. BMKC Award, TRUB Award, CJFB Award, Babisas Award are among them.

She is constantly preparing herself for acting. Regarding acting in movies, she said, since I am acting in good stories, television dramas, short films, I do not want to be deprived of the love of the audience by working in as usual movies. I am preparing myself to work in movies. I will work if I get a good script.
