Prominent businessman and social activist Shaila Sabrin has received a special award from Bangladesh Peace Foundation for her special contribution to society. The medal was presented to her in a ceremony at the Sagar Runi Auditorium (DRU) on Wednesday, 31 August 2022. Prominent philosopher Abu Mohi Musa was present as the chief guest and presided over by prominent writer and industrialist M Miraz Hossain.

Bangladesh Peace Foundation awarded her the Peace Award for 2022-23 for playing a significant role in various social activities including providing food, medical and financial assistance to helpless and poor people during the Corona crisis, free housing for the homeless and disabled, distribution of winter clothes to children, renovation of mosques, etc.

Shaila Sabrin is an established businesswoman; Managing Director of PPS Plastic Pipe Industries Ltd. and Roslyn Ltd. As a prominent woman entrepreneur, she participated in the 72nd, 73^rd, and 74th General Assembly of the United Nations along with the Honorable Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina. He was the 2021-22 President of the Lions Club of Mohakhali Friends.
