Habibul Islam Habib’s ‘Ratrir Jatri’ at Book Fair

Prominent playwright and film director Habibul Islam Habib’s popular movie ‘Ratir Jatri’ has been published in book form at this year’s Ekushey Book Fair. It is basically a written version of the movie script.
The main story of the book is about the bitter and varied experience of a woman who was separated after love affair and traveled to the city.It’s a story about a series of events that happened to her throughout the night.Within this brief range, the reader will dive into the pre-experience that has repeatedly happened to the girl in the past; Someone will come again sometime in that present night. Author Habibul Islam Habib said that the book will give such an exciting experience.
He said, ‘Ratir Jatri’ movie is like my child.It’s not just my personal emotions that are involved; There are expressions of human feelings like patriotism, love, deception, fear, faith.After the release of the movie, many people wanted to go and enjoy it, but it did not happen.So thought about the book fair, it seemed that if the story was published in book form, it would be easier to reach the people.The book was published during the book fair with that in mind.
He also assured that the readers will not be disappointed after reading the story. The story has been published in book form by Mizan Publishers.It is available at Pavilion No. 11 of Mizan Publishers at the book fair. Note that Habibul Islam Habib is known as a dreamy director.He is simultaneously a cultural activist, playwright, film director, a pioneer of the cultural movement in the country.
Habibul Islam Habib started his journey in the early eighties with the ‘Perkkhapot’ theater troupe.Lately, he has directed the much talked about Mancha Natak, IdaningTini Vodrolok, Khati Mir Jaforer Bacha, Barigade Charidakay, Saradin Por, UltaRath PaltaDin etc.He didn’t just stop on stage. In the eighties, he made short films Bokhate o Bijoy Nobboi with contemporary context.He was also associated with the group theater movement.
Besides, he was also involved in various cultural movements including package drama movement, movement for formation of joint alliance, short film movement.
