In a monthly meeting of the Faculty of Earth and Environmental Sciences (FEES) of the University of Dhaka (DU) held on October 19, 2021, the faculty members bid farewell to three of their senior colleagues. Professor Dr. Mohammad Abdur Rab of the Department of Geography and Environment and Professor Dr. Mohammad Kamrul Hasan of the Department of Geology received warm wishes and appreciation as they proceed to retirement.

On the other hand, Professor Dr. Nurul Islam Nazem of the Department of Geography received advanced farewell remarks from the colleagues as his tenure as a faculty member at the university to be ended on October 31, 2021.

The departing faculty members were bestowed with appreciation and acknowledgement from the colleagues for their noteworthy contribution in academia. The meeting was presided over by Dr. Md. Kawser Ahmed, the Dean of FEES and the Chairmen of Department of Geography and Environment, Department of Geology, Department of Oceanography, Department of Disaster Science and Management, and Department of Meteorology were present among others.
