SSC exams held peacefully in Dinajpur Education Board

RANGPUR, – On the first day, the Secondary School Certificate (SSC) and equivalent examinations-2020 were held today peacefully in Dinajpur Education Board. A total of 470 examinees were absent and one was expelled on the first day, the Dinajpur Education Board sources said.

Talking to BSS tonight, Controller of Examinations of Dinajpur Education Board Professor Md Tofazzur Rahman said tight security measures were ensured by deploying members of law enforcement agencies to ensure peaceful holding of the examinations.

“The Bangla (Compulsory) first part examinations were held peacefully today in the SSC examinations-2020 at all 271 centres of all eight districts
in Rangpur division under the education board,” he said.

One lakh 68 thousand 935 candidates, out of one lakh 69 thousand 405, took part in Bangla first paper examinations as 470 SCC examinees remained absent today with the absent percentage of only 0.28 percent.

The SSC candidates from 2,660 secondary level educational institutions of all 58 upazilas in eight districts are taking part in the SSC examinations-
2020 under the education board this year.

“This year, a total of one lakh 92 thousand and 527 students are participating in the SSC examinations, including 99 thousand and 155 are male
and 93 thousand and 372 are female candidates,” Professor Rahman said.

Of them, 81 thousand 868 candidates are taking part in the examinations from Science Group, one lakh six thousand and 132 candidates from Humanities Group and four thousand 527 candidates from Business Studies Group this year.

“Of the total examinees, one lakh 64 thousand and 642 candidates are appearing in the examinations as regular candidates, 27 thousand and 327 as
irregular candidates and 562 candidates for improving GPA statuses this year,” he added.
