‘Poshain Conference-2022’ organized by Female Community Pop of Color. The day-long conference was held at the Radisson Blue Water Garden Hotel in the capital on Friday. More than 600 women from different sectors participated there.

Senior journalist and producer Sharmin Rahman Rauma was awarded in the Best Journalist award category in this event. In her two decades of career in journalism SharminRaumaestablish herself as one of the leading women journalists in country. She started her career as a news presenter in the country’s leading television channel. He gained tremendous popularity as the host of one of the most popular programs of BBC Bangla, BBC Songlap and BBC Probaho. Currently she is working as senior journalist, team manager and producer of BBC Bangla.

Honorable Planning Minister MA Mannan was present as the chief guest on the occasion. Managing Director of Bangladesh High Tech Park Authority Bikarna Kumar Ghosh, country’s first woman Major General SusaneGiti, DIG of Bangladesh Police Farida Yasmin and many others were present as special guests.

The conference had seven sessions on various topics. The speakers spoke on health, mental health, cyber security, women’s sexual health, nutrition, enthusiasm and passion, career etc.

Honorable Planning MA Mannan said, ‘We all, including the Prime Minister, are working to advance women in the country. Now women are moving forward along with men. This power of women will increase further in the future.

In the last part of the program, Pop of Color honored 10 women entrepreneurs in 10 sectors.

The winners were presented with mementos by Planning Minister MA Mannan and Tinker JannatMim, founder of Pop of Color.

The day-long event ends in the evening with a cover and music performance.
