Dr. Jobaer Alam receives Int’l Creative Arts Award 2024

Professor Dr. Jobaer Alam, the Acting Editor and Publisher of ‘The Bangladesh Today’ and a Faculty Member of the University of Dhaka, received the prestigious International Creative Arts Award 2024. He received the award at the International Creative Arts Award 2024 Giving Ceremony held at the RC Majumdar Arts Auditorium, University of Dhaka, on Saturday.

However, a discussion on the ‘Impact of Language & Literature on Enriching Minds and Inspiring Lives’ was held before the ceremony. The event was graced by the presence of Professor Soumitra Sekhar D.Litt., Vice-Chancellor of Jatiya Kabi Kazi Nazrul Islam University, as the chief guest. Professor Nasar U Ahmed, PhD, a Fulbright Scholar and US Public Diplomacy Advisor at the ICALDRC, FIU, USA; Mujib Pardeshi, a Lifetime Achievement Awardee by the ICALDRC Linguistics Unit of DU; and Shamima Begum, BPM, PPM, DIG of the Special Branch, Bangladesh Police, graced the event with their presence. The welcome speech was delivered by Professor Lutfor Rahman Joy, Secretary-General of ICALDRC and Chairman of Bongonews BDC Channel, while Professor Dr. Ashaduzzaman, Chairman of the Department of Linguistics of DU, presided over the event. The event was organized by the ICALDRC Linguistics Unit of DU.
