Runa Laila, one of the leading singers of the sub-continent, has lent her voice to a patriotic song title ‘Jodi Proshno Koro’. The track will be aired on Gaan Bangla TV channel from December 16 on the occasion of Victory Day with music video.
Late legendary lyricist Gazi Mazharul Anwar wrote the song before his demise. Few lyrics of the track are-‘Jodi Prosno Koro Kotota Bhalobasi Tomake’, ‘O Aamar Desh Ami Jobab Debo- Tototai Bhalobasi’, ‘Jotota Bhalobasi Amar Maa ke…’
Talented musician Shafiq Tuhin has composed the track while Foad Nasser Babu has arranged the music of the song.
The song has been recorded at Foad Nasser Babu’s studio in the capital’s Banasree area recently and the shooting of the music video of the track took place on the premises of National Parliament on Tuesday. Taneem Rahman Angshu has directed the music video. About the song, Runa Laila said, “Actually, we have paid tribute to Gazi Mazharul Anwar through the song. I have lent my voice to many of his songs in my music career. The lyrics of the song ‘Jodi Proshno Koro’ are amazing. The tune of the track is also very nice. I think it is a song worth listening to again and again.”
Foad Nasser Babu said, “I’m very fortunate that respected Runa apa has lent her voice to a song under my music arrangement. I hope the audience will like the song very much.”
Taneem Rahman Angshu is also very happy to work with Runa Laila for the first time. He said, “It is the big achievement of my career that Runa mam has worked under my direction.”
