Digital archives to prevent distortion of liberation war history : Palak

State Minister for Information and Communication Technology, Zunaid Ahmed Palak as said that a digital archive will be set up to prevent the distorted history of the Liberation War and portray the original history of the Liberation War to the next generation.

He also said that fact checking tools of ICT department will be used to prevent copyright and forgery of liberation war data. He was speaking as the chief guest at a webinar organized by Technology Media Guild Bangladesh (TMGB) yesterday morning.

The State Minister for ICT said the Department of Information and Communication Technology is going to take initiative to create an interactive digital archive of the Liberation War on the golden jubilee of independence in collaboration with the Ministry of Liberation War, Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, Ministry of Culture and Bangladesh Film Archive.

Noting that the anti-independence clique is still conspiring through anti-government propaganda including the liberation war on online platforms, the ICT state minister said the ICT department has taken several initiatives to consolidate cyber security.

Ami Rahman Pial, Content Researcher on Liberation War, presented the main article in the webinar titled “Online Content on Liberation War vs. Information Disruption and Rumor Dissemination”.

Lieutenant Colonel Ashiq Billah, Director, Legal and Media Youth, RAB, Syed Almas Kovid, President, BASIS, Shahid-ul-Munir, President, BCS, Prof. Dr. Lafifa Jamal, BACCO, and people concerning ISPAB spoke on the occasion.Later, the state minister inaugurated the official website of TMGB www.tmgb.org.
