Meet Bushra Kabir, one of today’s standout brand promoters, fashion bloggers, and fashion content creators. Her journey in the world of influencer marketing was anything but easy. Through persistent dedication, she has now established herself as one of the most popular brand promoters and content creators in the country.

In 2018, Bushra began her journey by sharing photos on Instagram, gradually transitioning to short videos, which garnered widespread popularity. While her journey began on Instagram, she later expanded her work, collaborating with various commercial and non-commercial organizations. Today, Bushra Kabir stands as a successful and professional brand promoter, fashion blogger, and fashion content creator, working regularly with both local and international brands.

Reflecting on her journey, Bushra Kabir stated, “My journey started on Instagram. I’ve had a passion for fashion since childhood, and everyone around me admired my style, from school to college and university. I love to travel and take photos. Whether in our country or abroad, I used to take pictures and create short videos and upload them to my profile. That’s how my journey on Instagram began, even though there were no financial considerations at the time. Then, in 2020, I started my Facebook page. However, it was only when my videos began to receive widespread praise that I couldn’t turn back. It became a passion.”

When asked about her inspiration, Bushra Kabir mentioned, “I visited Bangladesh Just for Ieisure with my 3 months old daughter. Then jobe due to COVID, I couldn’t go to Australia, where I was working. This led me to leave my job there. Initially, a local company in Dhaka approached me to work on their blogging. However, I was looking for a job, and they offered me one, so I worked for 6 months. But I wanted to work on my blogging because offers were coming in from many places. So, I left my job and started brand promotions. Despite some initial uncertainty, my mother encouraged me. From the very beginning, I received a lot of support from both my mother and husband. Their contributions have been significant to my success.”

Bushra Kabir completed her primary and secondary education at Viqarunnisa Noon School and College and then earned her bachelor’s degree in Telecommunication from North South University. So primarily, she is an engineer. After completing her postgraduate degree in the same field from Sydney, Australia, she started working there. All the while maintaining her interest in blogging.

In addition to her work as a fashion influencer, she has been working for 4-5 years as a beauty influencer. Starting purely out of passion, she has worked with various international brands, including Alya Skin, Innisfree, Neutrogena, Real U, Miniso Australia etc. Initially, she would buy different fashion products herself to review. Her followers appreciate these videos, and they trust her. Now, various brands from Bangladesh and abroad approach her to review their products.

She has worked with brands ranging from Bobbi Brown to Pixi Beauty and international brands like Neutrogena and Daniel Wellington. Additionally, she collaborates with numerous brands in Bangladesh, including Unilever, Pond’s, bKash, Nagad, Meril, Lux, Lucy Olive Oil, Daraz, and Dabur Honey.

When asked about the future of brand promotion, Bushra Kabir said, “We don’t know what the future holds for brand promotion, but influencers who have gained experience and financial stability over the years can venture into various businesses. YouTube is also a fantastic platform where people have been earning for a long time. So, we can work there too. Besides, communication skills, building relationships with people, and breaking barriers can lead someone to a career in presenting. Your self-confidence can shine in any profession. All in all, the future looks very promising for people involved in this sector.”
