Sayduzzaman Rid, Three decades of music career

At present, when we name the drummers of Bangladesh, the one whose name comes first is Sayduzzaman Rid. This famous drummer has left his mark not only in the country but also beyond the borders of the country.

Sayduzzaman Rid was born on 7 May 1973 in Jessore, Bangladesh. He was involved in music practice from his childhood. He started doing shows in different parts of the country as soon as he entered his youth.

His passion and love for music dates back to his childhood. His name spread in the country as a drummer in a very short time due to his immense talent and hard work.

He came to the capital Dhaka in the nineties to establish himself. His reputation as a professional musician continued to spread. He started playing with various bands as a drummer.

Along with this he started performing various programs as a professional artist. When the new era of satellite channels started in the country from the beginning of the twentieth century, it started playing on Bangladesh Television (BTV) as well as other satellite channels. Incidentally, Rid is the enlisted musician of Bangladesh Television (BTV).

He has played with almost all the established artists of the country. In addition to being an established drummer, Rid is a singer, composer and lyricist. He specializes in traditional Bengali folk music.

He is also the composer of several songs written by himself. In recognition of his work, he has received numerous local and foreign awards, including the CJFB Award, the BACCHAS Award, Binodondhara Performance Award, and the Star Iconic Award. He is one of the highest paid drummer of Bangla Band.

The expatriate musician is currently playing regularly in shows in United States. He has played with renowned and most popular singer of the country Sabina Yasmin, Tahsan, Baby Nazneen, Rizia Parveen and others.

He has also played in various Bangla music programs outside the country. He was acclaimed for playing at various events including Dhallywood Music Awards and FOBANA.

Recently he performs “Gozol & Geet Sandha” at Queens Palace with singer legendary Rizia Parveen.
