IT enhances customer service quality: Nasrul

DHAKA, – State Minister for Power, Energy and Mineral Resources Nasrul Hamid today said use of information technology (IT) will increase quality of customer services.

“The information technology will also curb middleman’s benefit and ensure corruption free service system,” he told this while speaking as the chief guest on the occasion of Digital Bangladesh Day-2021 at Bidyut Bhaban.

Dhaka Power Distribution Company Limited (DPDC) organised the function with its managing director Bikash Dewan in the chair, while Power Secretary Md Habibur Rahman spoke the event.

“Digital Bangladesh means hunger-poverty free a developed Bangladesh. ‘Sonar Bangla’ dreamt by Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman. Technology must be used to build self-reliant modern institutions,” Nasrul said.
He said efforts are going on to make distribution companies digitised to increase quality of services and inter connective web site is the demand of the time.

The state minister asked the DPDC to undertake more customer friendly projects among underground projects, as its subscribers rose 15,23,847 (October 31, 2021), adding, “It is delivering customers’ service though KIOSK based One Stop Customer Service. Accepting and resolving customer complaints through mobile apps.”
