My father is my inspiration: Shadhona Saha

When I was only six years old, I started singing with my father, and I am still with music with that inspiration in my heart. I want to be immersed in music until death. This singer Shadhona Saha shared her dream and reality with this reporter.Due to her excellent singing, this sweet-voiced artist is currently spending her time on basic songs and stage shows.

Shadhona Saha was born and raised in the capital Dhaka. Although her full name is Shadhona Saha, the audience calls her Shadhona.When she was young, she first started her first music lesson by her father Dilip Sarkar. Later, while studying in 6th class, she learned classical music from Shahina Parveen and learned folk songs from Meena Barua.

The artist debuted as the first original artist through a mixed album Sisir Hoey Eley in 2013 with musician and composer SM Sohail. Since then, more than fifty original songs have been published from various reputed companies and on YouTube.

Besides, Shadhona has sung songs written by popular lyricists of the country.The list of unpublished songs includes several original songs, including playback. The singer has performed as a playback singer in more than a dozen of films.

In addition to singing, she is currently working as a music teacher at New Life International School. She had previously worked as a music teacher at Jahangir Nagar University. When asked, Shadhona Saha said, “Song is my life, song is my death. Without song, I can’t imagine for a moment.”I am grateful to my family and my husband. “Music is mixed in my blood, because since I was born in a musical family, I will be with songs until death,” she further added.
