July martyr Mugdho’s family members pay courtesy call on President

Family members of July Mass Uprising martyr Mir Mahfuzur Rahman Mugdho today paid a courtesy call on President Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir at Bangabhaban.

Martyr Mugdho’s father Mir Mostafizur Rahman, brother Mir Mahbubur Rahman Snigdha and family member Mahfuza Jafrin Ariba were present during the meeting, President’s Press Secretary Md. Sarwar Alam told BSS.

During the meeting, the President exchanged greetings with them.

Mugdho’s family members apprised the President of various steps taken by the government for the welfare and rehabilitation of the families of the martyrs and the injured of the July Mass Uprising, and for the treatment of the injured.

They requested the President to ensure proper implementation of the government’s initiatives for the welfare of the families of the martyrs and the injured.

They presented the President with a replica of the July Martyrs’ Memorial bearing the names of 845 July martyrs published in the gazette notification.

Expressing deep respect and gratitude to the martyrs and injured of the July Mass Uprising in 2024, the President said the nation would never forget the sacrifices of those who gave their lives and were injured in the struggle to free the country from fascism.

He assured that the state would continue to provide the highest possible support for the overall welfare of the families of the martyrs of the uprising and for proper treatment and rehabilitation of the injured.

The President also prayed for the eternal peace and salvation of the souls of the July martyrs.

Senior officials concerned of Bangabhaban were present during the meeting.
