Nishita’s song about Bangabandhu ‘Roktto Makha Shiri’

This time Nishita Barua came up with the music ‘Ami dekhesy shiri baye, kamon korey pitar bukey roktto jhorey’ on the occasion of National Mourning Day where the lyrics was written by lyricist Sujan Hajong. On Thursday (July 5), Nishita Barua sang the song titled ‘Roktto Makha shiri’ at D Station Studio in Moghbazar. Its melody and music have been arranged by Sumon Kalyan. Regarding the song, lyricist Sujan Hajong said, Bangladesh is like climbing the father’s blood-stained stairs. Our rivers, the dew of the dawn, the fountains are stained with the blood of the Father’s bosom.

I believe that in this song, the new generation will get to know about Bangabandhu in the beacon of their consciousness. As, through the song, we have tried to unite Bangabandhu with our Bengali and Bengali consciousness, nature and existence.

Nishita Barua said the lyrics are poetic and melodic. The melody and music are heartwarming.I am proud to be able to sing this song about Bangabandhu. Hopefully, the song will touch the hearts of millions. The song will be released on Sujan Hajong’s YouTube channel on National Mourning Day (August 15), the lyricist said.
