DHAKA, BANGLADESH, AUGUST 18, 2026 — LG Electronics Singapore Bangladesh Branch (LG) has officially announced the winners of the 2026 LG Ambassador Challenge, recognizing five outstanding social impact projects that demonstrate innovative solutions to improve the lives of underserved and marginalized communities across Bangladesh.

Since its introduction in Bangladesh in 2017, the LG Ambassador Challenge has served as a platform to empower individuals with innovative ideas to address social challenges through sustainable community development initiatives. Through financial grants and ongoing support, the program helps transform promising ideas into meaningful actions that create lasting positive change.

This year's winning projects were selected for their potential to contribute to key areas such as education, poverty alleviation, economic empowerment and community development. The initiatives are designed to improve the livelihoods of disadvantaged populations and create sustainable impact at the grassroots level.

Empowering Communities Through Local Innovation

The five winning projects of the 2026 LG Ambassador Challenge are:

Coastal Lifeline (Cox’s Bazar)
Led by Minhaz Uddin, the project aims to improve financial security and reduce poverty among vulnerable populations living in disaster-prone coastal areas.

O-A-K-Kha School (Sirajganj)
Led by Md. Abdullah Rony, this initiative seeks to expand educational opportunities and improve learning outcomes for underprivileged children.

Coastal Safety / VAN Project (Satkhira)
Managed by Md. Habibullah Al Mamun, the project focuses on creating sustainable livelihood opportunities and strengthening economic resilience among rural coastal communities.

Empowering Sundarbans Women Through Tailoring Skills (Khulna)
Led by Shuvo Kumar Gsosh, this initiative provides vocational training to women, enabling them to achieve greater economic independence through sustainable income-generating opportunities.

Project Uday (Rajshahi)
Directed by Subrina Haque, the project aims to improve the socio-economic conditions of disadvantaged families through community-based development activities.
