Ranveer Singh begins Pralay shoot in Mumbai, Kalyani Priyadarshan joins

Ranveer Singh’s upcoming action thriller Pralay has officially gone on the floors in Mumbai, marking the commencement of filming on one of the most audacious and scale-defining cinematic ventures in Indian cinema.

The film marks Ranveer’s next major release after Dhurandhar, which emerged as the highest-grossing film of all time. The 41-year-old actor will not only headline the film but also serve as a producer, taking on a story that demands both physical intensity and emotional conviction.

For Hansal Mehta and Sahil Saigal’s True Story Films, it reflects a belief in creating disruption through content, an ethos this film carries at its core.

Lokah actor Kalyani Priyadarshan has been roped in for the film for her Bollywood debut.

The film directed by Jai Mehta promises a genre-defining experience that is emotionally grounded while spectacular in scale.

Set against the unmistakable pulse and landscape of Mumbai, the film is an original story that seeks to marry breathtaking spectacle with a deeply human emotional core. Pralay is being shot at live locations in and around Mumbai, as the makers embrace the physicality and unpredictability of real-world environments.

Earlier, India Today reported that the shooting location was changed from Australia to Mumbai. The change in plans comes as the actor is keen to stay close to his wife Deepika Padukone, as the couple prepares to embrace parenthood for the second time.
