BDCricTime Achieves 10 Million Followers as Md Jabed Ali Credits Team and Supporters

BDCricTime, one of Bangladesh’s leading digital sports platforms, has achieved a landmark milestone by reaching 10 million followers on Facebook, a rare feat for a cricket-focused media outlet in the country. The achievement was celebrated at a special event held on Wednesday, December 17, at a renowned restaurant in Mirpur, with prominent figures from Bangladesh cricket, media professionals, and members of the BDCricTime team in attendance.
The celebration was attended by Aminul Islam Bulbul, President of the Bangladesh Cricket Board, who joined the program as the chief guest. Former Bangladesh national team captains Khaled Mashud Pilot and Mohammad Ashraful were also present, alongside journalists, media personalities, and BDCricTime employees. Their presence highlighted the platform’s growing influence and strong relationship with the country’s cricketing community.
Founded in 2015, BDCricTime began as a social media–based cricket page driven by a simple passion for the game. Over the years, it steadily expanded its scope, offering match updates, analysis, and cricket-related stories while prioritizing responsible and positive journalism. The platform’s consistent growth reflects the increasing role of digital media in shaping cricket conversations and engaging fans across Bangladesh and beyond.
Addressing the gathering, BCB President Aminul Islam Bulbul congratulated the platform and emphasized the responsibility that accompanies such a vast audience.
“Congratulations to BDCricTime on reaching 10 million followers,” he said. “Starting from one and reaching ten million is not easy. Well done to the founder of this platform, Md. Jabed Ali. With this growth comes responsibility. Ten million viewers need to be guided towards understanding cricket in the right way.”
Bulbul further underscored the importance of constructive and inclusive coverage.
“I would request BDCricTime to continue portraying positive and objective news. Cricket culture in Bangladesh will depend greatly on platforms like yours. People’s mindset will be influenced by what you show and say. This should always be positive. Along with match news and achievements, grassroots cricket, women’s cricket, age-level cricket, and cricket education should also be highlighted.”
BCB Grounds Committee Chairman Khaled Mashud Pilot praised BDCricTime’s contribution to digital sports journalism and its role in creating opportunities for young professionals.
“What BDCricTime has achieved is inspiring,” he said. “Positive news, easy access to information, and consistency has helped the platform grow. I hope to see BDCricTime reach even bigger milestones perhaps one billion followers in the future.”
Founder and Editor-in-Chief Md Jabed Ali credited the platform’s success to the collective efforts of the team and the trust of its audience. “The journey started with a simple passion for cricket. Reaching 10 million followers today is a blessing. This achievement belongs to our readers, viewers, and the entire team who have worked with honesty and commitment. We are grateful for the love and trust we have received over the years. We will continue to work responsibly and focus on positive, meaningful cricket content in the future.”
During the event, BDCricTime presented a commemorative photo frame to BCB President Aminul Islam Bulbul as a token of appreciation. Certificates of appreciation were also awarded to employees in recognition of their dedication and contributions to the platform’s growth. The evening concluded with a buffet dinner, marking a memorable celebration of teamwork, trust, and a shared passion for cricket.
