Prarthana Fardin Dighi is making her debut as the heroine through the movie ‘Tumi Acho, Tumi Nei’. After the release of the trailer of the film, there has been a flurry of criticism among the viewers. When director Jhantu made such a film in 2021, the viewers are asking questions. Dighi was also upset after seeing the trailer of the film. Dighi said that she did not realize during the shooting and dubbing that the film would be so disrespectful. She apologized to the audience for acting in such a film.
The audience was waiting to see Dighi as a “professional actress” from a child artist, however, they were disappointed after seeing the trailer of Dighi’s first movie ‘Tumi Acho, Tumi Nei’.
Due to Dighi’s own criticism over the trailer, the director of the movie Delwar Jahan Jhantu became furious and threatened to sue her. “The movie is going to be released on March 12. I wanted to say a lot about this. But the heroine made a few remarks over the movie – that hurt me,” he said in a video interview. “She said the movie will not go big,” Jhantu said, adding: “But when I was shooting, she appraised me and told me that the movie will make a big hit.”
“I don’t understand whether she said this on her own or through someone. Dighi has been making ridiculed remarks over the movie. Where did she get this courage? A little girl like her does not get this courage. I think many viewers will be distracted by her words.”
“I will lose Tk one crore for her! It cost Tk 70-80 lakh to make this film. If I did business, I would get Tk 30-40 lakhs more!,” the filmmaker said, informing that he will file a defamation suit against Dighi.
“A notice from the High Court will be sent to her. She and her uncle have to pay Tk one crore compensation to me,” he added. Jhantu further said, “I am the director of this movie. I think Dighi’s statement has defamed me. I will file a defamation suit against both of them. The country has laws, there are courts. The producers are also upset with the movie’s heroine Dighi’s comments.”
Dighi, Asif Imroz, Amit Hasan, Subrata and many others have starred in the movie produced by Simi Islam Kali. The movie is scheduled to release on March 12.
