Veteran actor ATM Shamsuzzaman hospitalized
Renowned actor ATM Shamsuzzaman was admitted to the capital’s Asgar Ali Hospital on Wednesday (February 17) morning when he suddenly fell ill.
Shamsuzzaman’s daughter Koel Ahmed confirmed the matter.
She said that her father’s physical condition was not going sound for the last two days and the condition got deteriorated in today morning. Later, he was admitted to the hospital as he having low levels of oxygen that is being tried to increase. The doctors will report after one day of observation.
ATM Shamsuzzaman was born on 10th September, in 1941 at Daulatpur in Noakhali. He started his career in1961, as an Assistant Director in the movie ‘Bishkanya’ by Udayan Chowdhury. As a first screenwriter, he made the movie ‘Jalchobi’. So far, the actor has written and acted over 100 films and dramas.
