Music is food of my soul:  Mustafa Kamal Boyati

Music is intertwined with my life. As long as I live, I want to live by holding on to Bengali songs, because music is the food of my soul.

The words are from the popular Baul artist of the time, Mustafa Kamal Boyati, who has already won the hearts of millions of people in the country and abroad through his singing.

Although everyone in his family called him Mustafa, as an artist he was known as Mustafa Kamal Boyati.

Born and raised in the village of Mulpara in Panchdona Union, Narsingdi District, he had a strong inclination towards music from a young age. Hence, his affinity with music began at the age of just 12.

Mustafa Kamal Boyati's first song was written by Baul Samrat Shafi Mondal in 1984. He also regularly studied music at a local academy.

This singer started her journey in the music industry with an album titled "Mon Tui Keno Osthir", followed by several original songs including "Kiser Sondhanay Firo" and "Mon Amar Ochin Pakhi" in his voice.

So far, more than 150 original songs have been released, several of which have gained considerable popularity among the audience. In addition, there are about 20 to 25 original songs in the list of unreleased songs.

Popular songs sung by him include, "Bondhu Amare Giyache Bhulia Re", "Taja Phuler Gatha Mala", "Ami Shajibo Kar Lagi", "Giridhari Nagor", "Dukkho Diye  Sukh Jodi Pao", "Amar Apon Bhabe Keu Nai", "Amar Pal Sarano Nouka", "Dukhini Mago", "Poloke Poloke", "Kon Alo Laglo Chokhe ", and "Godhuli Lagane".

When asked, Mustafa Kamal Boyati said, "Songs speak of life, speak of humanity, and speak of the Creator. Besides, songs are my life and death pursuit, I will remain with music till death. I want to move forward with everyone's love and prayers."
