DHAKA, – Newly elected General Secretary of the ruling Awami League Obaidul Quader today said the full-fledged committee of the Awami League (AL) will be announced on Tuesday.

“I hope that the full-fledged committee of the Awami League will be announced following a party presidium meeting on December 24,” Quader also a Road Transport and Bridges Minister told the journalists while replying to a query at his secretariat office here.

A draft proposal of the committee will also be discussed at the meeting, he said, adding that “the full-fledged committee will be declared comprising with the senior and junior leaders.”

A number of posts including Organizing Secretary, Religious Affairs Secretary, Industries and Trade and Treasurer, Finance Secretary and Information and Research Secretary are remaining in the committee.

At the 21st council of the AL, Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina has been elected as president for ninth time and Obaidul Quader as its general secretary for the second consecutive term of 81-members committee of the ruling party.

The 42 members of the committee have so far been made public. The council was held on December 21-22.

Meanwhile, the minister, however, hinted of a reshuffle in the cabinet after the declaration of the new committee of Awami League.
