MoU between Dhaka University and Portsmouth University signed

A Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between the University of Dhaka (DU) and the University of Portsmouth Higher Education Corporation, UK  was virtually signed today March 21, 2024 to foster international cooperation in education and research. Vice-Chancellor of DU Prof. Dr. A S M Maksud Kamal presided over the program.

Treasurer of DU Prof.  Mamtaz Uddin Ahmed and Deputy-Vice Chancellor of the University of Portsmouth Prof. Chris Chang signed the MoU on behalf of their respective university.

Pro-Vice Chancellor (Academic) Prof. Dr. Sitesh Chandra Bachar, Dean of the Faculty of Earth and Environmental Sciences Prof. Dr. Md. Zillur Rahman, founder Chairman of the Department of Oceanography Prof. Dr. Kawser Ahmed,  among others, addressed the program.

According to the MoU, Dhaka University and the University of Portsmouth will work together to undertake academic and research activities. Besides, the two universities will exchange faculty members, students and information as well as share knowledge. They will conduct joint researches and promote study abroad programs for the students. The two universities will jointly organize conferences, seminars, workshops and training programs.

DU Vice-Chancellor Prof. Dr. A S M Maksud Kamal thanked the Portsmouth University authorities for signing this MoU. He hoped that the teachers, students and researchers of these two universities would be highly benefited by this MoU.
