DHAKA,– A milad and doa mahfil was held at the Prime Minister’s Office (PMO) after Zohr prayers today marking the 44th martyrdom anniversary of Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman and the National Mourning Day.

Prime Minister’s Economic Affairs Adviser Dr Mashiur Rahman, Energy Advisor Dr Tawfiq-e-Elahi Chowdhury and Principal Secretary Md Nojibur Rahman spoke on the occasion highlighting the life and works of Father of the Nation.

Secretary of the PMO Sajjadul Hassan and its other officials and employees were present on the occasion.

A special munajat was offered seeking eternal peace of the departed soul of Bangabandhu and other martyrs of the August 15 carnage and continued
peace, progress and prosperity of the nation. Director of Islamic Foundation Mufti Waliur Rahman Khan conducted the munajat.
