A pickup van driver was stabbed to death by snatchers in Kuril Bishwa Road area of Dhaka early Thursday.

The deceased was identified as Kamrul Islam, 26, son of Abdur Rahman, hailing from Jajira Upazila in Shariatpur.

Pickup van helper Rafiq said some snatchers tried to snatch money and mobile from Kamrul and they stabbed him after refusing around 5:30am.

Later he was admitted to Dhaka Medical College and Hospital (DMCH) in a critical condition where the doctors declared him dead.
