Farmers’ Field Day held in Faridpur

FARIDPUR,  – A Farmers’ Field Day on harvesting high quality Boro (BRRI 81) was held at Poshora village under Sadar upazila of the district on Tuesday.

Farmers’ Field Day is a demonstration of a group of farmers who exhibit their agricultural tools and crops patronized by local Agriculture office. A group of farmers gather on that very day for sharing their experience as well as success of harvesting crops with each other.

Different samples of crops are displayed and discussion on procedure of scientific cultivation is also presented on farmers’ Field Day.

The events are good sources of agricultural information, as organizers can arrange for guest speakers to talk on a range of topics related to agriculture.

Bangladesh Water Development Board (BWDB) organized the Field Day with the technical support of Department of Agriculture Extension (DAE).

Md. Faruk Molla , president of water management team of Poshora village presided over the field day. Deputy Director of DAE in Faridpur Kartik Chandra Chakraborty was present as chief guest.
