Coast Guard arrested 02 persons with 4 thousand 300 liters of illegal soybean oil from Elisha in Bhola, said Lieutenant Commander Khandaker Munif Taqi, Coast Guard Headquarters Media Officer.
He said, based on secret information, a special operation was conducted by BCG Base Bhola under Bangladesh Coast Guard South Zone at approximately 0500 hours on 25 August 2022.
In the operation, 24 barrels (4300 liters) of illegal soybean oil and 02 persons were arrested by searching a covered van from Bhola to Dhaka in Ilisha Feri Ghat area of Bhola district. The arrested persons are residents of Lechskina village under Lalmohan police station in Bhola district.
He further said that later the seized oil and arrested persons were handed over to Bhola Sadar police station for taking legal action.
