Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina today expressed deep shock and sorrow at the death of Kurigram’s Chilmari Upazila Awami League (AL) President valiant freedom fighter Shawkat Ali Sarker, Bir Bikram.

In a condolence message, the premier with due respect recalled the brave contribution of Shawkat Ali to the great War of Liberation.

She said Bangladesh Awami League has lost a dedicated leader at his death which is also an irreparable loss to the country as well as her party.

The prime minister prayed for eternal peace of the departed soul and conveyed deep sympathy to the bereaved family.
