DNCRP conducts raid in Birganj

Three shops in three markets were raided under the supervision of Mumtaz Begum, Assistant Director of National Consumer Rights Protection Directorate in Birganj upazila on Monday. Birganj Upazila Kachari Bazaar Montasin Store owner Abu Sayem was fined for selling fake bidi, expired food biscuits, adulterated cosmetic, baby food, powdered milk expired.
A fine of 10,000 taka was imposed for the crime of keeping kuch-di (powdered milk). A fine of 5000 taka was imposed for counterfeit 12 thousand salma beedis, expired cakes, pickles and products without price list in Pashvarti Sanka Bazar No. 4 Paltapur Union area. A fine of Tk 5,000 was imposed for the crime of keeping non-edible low-quality rice in the Bismillah food store in Birganj town market area and for having no product value.
Mumtaz Begum, assistant director of the National Consumer Protection Directorate, said in response to a question from reporters that the campaign will continue and will continue.
