Professor Dr. A. S. M. Maksud Kamal gets the appointment of a visiting professor at the UK’s prestigious University College London (UCL). Professor Kamal is currently serving as a Pro Vice Chancellor (Academic) at the University of Dhaka (DU). He will be tenured at the UCL’s Institute for Risk and Disaster Reduction from April 1, 2022 to March 31, 2027. Professor Kamal is a renowned academic as well as a researcher related to disaster risk reduction. His career spanned over two decades.
Earlier, he was the dean of the Faculty of Earth and Environmental Sciences at DU. He envisions making DU a top tier research university in the world.
