Mild cold wave likely to sweep over country’s north, north-western parts

DHAKA,  – Mild cold wave is expected to sweep over the north and north-western parts of the country in coming two days. “During December 19-20, mild cold wave may sweep over the north and north-western parts of the country,” Bangladesh Meteorological Department (BMD) Meteorologist Toriful Newaz Kabir told BSS this afternoon.

After that, the temperature might rise slightly in the country, he added. “Weather may remain dry with temporary partly cloudy sky over the country. Light fog may occur at some places over the country during early morning,” a met Office release said in a 24-hour weather forecast commencing at 9am today. Night and day temperature may remain nearly unchanged over the country, it added.
