ICT facilities are now available at rural areas: Dr Razzaque

DHAKA,  – Agriculture Minister Dr M Abdur Razzaque today said all the facilities of the Information and Communication Technology (ICT) are now available at the remote rural areas as a result of time befitting initiatives of the present government.

The minister made this comment while addressing at the opening of Business Process Outsourcing (BPO) expertise development training at Musuddi Rezia College at Dhanbari upazila connecting online from his secretariat office room here this morning.

Dr Razzaue said “ICT use is increasing globally in all sorts of works, adding: so, as a surviving nation, we have to learn the use of these most modern technologies including artificial intelligence, Robot, use of these technology rising throughout the world.”

Aiming to this, the present government has been launched huge programmes to forging digital Bangladesh and also to enhance ICT use since 2008 with due importance.

As a result, Bangladesh has now achieved unique success in the ICT which is now being praiseworthy all over the world, he claimed. “Bangladesh has now linked to the highway of the development …we want to reinforce the ongoing development more dynamic by increasing the use of ICT,” he told the function.

As part of the development, ICT in association with the private partners has started online BPO expertise development training programme at different universities and colleges across the country for developing 20,000 professionals in next five years.

Under the training programme, students will get training on English language for sixty hours and another 80 hours for learning German language. Tangail district council chairman Fazlur Rahman Khan Faruque,Deputy Commissioner M Ataul Gani, officials and other local people, among others, attended the programme.
