Nagad makes life easier for country’s citizens: Tamim Iqbal

DHAKA,  – In an effort to build Digital Bangladesh, the government led by Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina has introduced services like Nagad in the market in recent years which has made people’s life easier, said Tamim Iqbal, captain of the ODI cricket team of Bangladesh.

Speaking at a dinner programme in a city hotel on Saturday evening, hosted by Nagad, a mobile financial service owned by Bangladesh Post Office, Tamim said, “Services like Nagad always promotes Bangladesh and helps to bring prosperity for the nation as well,” He went on saying, “That’s why as a Bangladeshi, it is our responsibility to promote their services, as it is a very positive venture that has been established in Bangladesh.”

Tamim, also a brand ambassador of Nagad, the fastest growing mobile money carrier of the world, also said that Nagad is obviously one of the very positive things in the country.

He said before enrollment of the mobile financial service like Nagad, life was so difficult. “After Nagad’s services were rolled out in the market, life has become so easy,” Tamim added. Nagad hosted the dinner honoring the best reporters and the juries of a prestigious event of Nagad-DRU best reporting award – 2021. This year some 22 reporters from different reputed newspaper, online portals and televisions were awarded for their best reports. In the event, Tanvir A Mishuk, managing director of Nagad, welcomed the senior journalists of the country.

Three former presidents of Jatiya Press Club Reazuddin Ahmed, Shaukat Mahmood and Saiful Alam, also the editor of Jugantor; including former president of Dhaka Reporters’ Unity (DRU) Alamgir Hossain and Shahjahan Sardar, also chairman of the Nagad-DRU best reporting award-2021 attended the dinner with some other editors and senior journalists from different media outlets.
