BNP senior joint secretary general Ruhul Kabir Rizvi said that what happened on August 15, 1975 was highly reprehensible. There have been many investigations and trials. But still the martyred President Ziaur Rahman is being implicated in that incident in a very conspiratorial manner. In fact, the government has now started a new conspiracy to eradicate the BNP.

He was speaking as the chief guest at the inauguration ceremony of the Corona Help Center organized by the Brahmanbaria District BNP on Monday (August 16) morning. Rizvi said an editor of a civil newspaper had published an article on the August 15, 1975 killings to get closer to the government.
Everyone knows the past activities of the editor of that paper. He did this mainly to get the favor of the government. That is highly conspiratorial. After the trial of the August 15 incident, the main purpose of all this is to eradicate the BNP and make the country zero opposition.

Rizvi said that despite all these incidents, what the government ministers and MPs are saying or writing about August 15 in the country is very conspiratorial.

Now they are conspiring in various ways to implicate the martyred hero Ziaur Rahman in this incident. They are pushing for writing in different media. In fact, they want to prolong the one-party rule. They don’t want to let anyone else do politics.

He said Bangladesh was severely affected by the epidemic corona virus. Many loved ones are missing from us. Those who are in power now have never had such a government in Bangladesh in the past.

Yet none of us are sitting still. At the risk of their lives, everyone from the center to the divisions, districts, upazila and union levels across the country is working for the person affected by the corona.
