Jashne Julus Held in the Capital with the Participation of Hundreds of Thousands on the Occasion of Eid-e-Milad-un-Nabi

On the occasion of the holy Eid-e-Milad-un-Nabi (PBUH) and 12th Rabi-ul-Awwal, a grand Jashne Julus was held in the capital Dhaka with the participation of hundreds of thousands of people. The capital’s streets became vibrant with the presence of people dressed in white and wearing caps, along with Kalema-inscribed flags, placards, colorful festoons, and the national flag.
Before dawn, devout Sufi-minded people from different parts of the country began gathering at Suhrawardy Udyan.

As the morning progressed, a vast gathering formed throughout the park. The spontaneous participation of men and women of different ages was particularly noticeable.

Wednesday ( 26 Augest) At morning 11pm., the Jashne Julus began from the South Gate of Suhrawardy Udyan under the leadership of Aulad-e-Rasul (PBUH), Shah Sufi Dr. Syed Saifuddin Ahmad Al-Hasani (M.Z.A.), President of Anjuman-e-Rahmania Mainia Maizbhandaria.

The procession passed through Doel Chattar, Shikkha Bhaban and the Secretariat Road before returning to Suhrawardy Udyan, where it concluded.

The entire area resonated with chants of “Ya Nabi Salam Alaika” and “Ya Rasul Salam Alaika.” Participants carried Kalema-inscribed flags, placards bearing various messages, and colorful festoons. Many also carried large national flags.
Following the Jashne Julus, an International Peace Grand Gathering was held at Suhrawardy Udyan.

In his presidential address, Shah Sufi Dr. Syed Saifuddin Ahmad Maizbhandari said that the Holy Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) is a mercy from Allah for all humanity. He said that it is possible to establish justice, humanity, and peace in society by following the teachings and ideals of the Holy Prophet (PBUH).

He said that the Messenger of Allah (PBUH) taught people harmony, brotherhood, love, and humanity. In the context of wars, conflicts, and instability in the contemporary world, he emphasized that it is essential to implement the ideals of the Holy Prophet (PBUH) in both individual and social life.

Dr. Sayed Saifuddin Ahmed Al Hasani added that the significance of Eid-e-Milad-un-Nabi is not limited merely to ceremonial observance. By following the life and ideals of the Holy Prophet (PBUH), justice, compassion, and mutual harmony must be established in individual, family, and social life.

Special guests at the International Peace Grand Gathering included Shahzada Syed Mehbub Mainuddin Al Hasani and Shahzada Sayed Mashooq Mainuddin, President of the Mainia Youth Forum and Convener of the International Academy of Sufi Scholars.

Among the foreign guests who delivered speeches were Sheikh Professor Dr. Mohammad Elhusseini of Türkiye; Sheikh Professor Dr. Lakhdar Derfoufi and Sheikh Sidi Ali Ma Al-Ainin of Morocco; Sheikh Faisal Hamid Abdur Razzaq of Canada; Sheikh Mohammad Reza bin Abdul Latif Al-Magdoumi of Sri Lanka; Sheikh Safwan (Mohammad Ridha) Ali Odeibat of Jordan; Sheikh Al-Rashed Abdullah Hammada of Saudi Arabia; Sheikh Professor Dr. Mohammad Omar Syed of Somalia; Sheikh Dr. Abdul Nasser Shamsin of Australia; Sheikh Professor Dr. Yousry Roshdy El-Sayed Jabr Al-Hasani of Egypt; Sheikh Riyad Hasan Baju of Lebanon; Shaykh Mohammad Al-Maghrabi of Brazil; Shaykh Professor Dr. Mohammad Zafar Iqbal Jalali of Pakistan; and Shaykh Nabil Akhtar Nawazi of India.

Also present and participating in the discussions were Global University Vice Chancellor Professor Emeritus Dr. Anisuzzaman, former Vice Chancellor of the University of Dhaka Akhteruzzaman, General Secretary of Anjuman-e-Rahmania Mainia Maizbhandaria Khalifa Alamgir Khan, Maulana Mufti Baki Billah Azhari, Maulana Ruhul Amin Bhuiyan, among others.

The speakers at the gathering said that the life and ideals of the Holy Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) provide guidance toward peace, harmony, and the welfare of humanity.

They said that by following his teachings, it is possible to eliminate hatred, hostility, discrimination, and inhumanity from society and build a peaceful environment.

The speakers further emphasized that, alongside religious values, humanity, tolerance, and mutual respect must be established. They said that following the ideals of the Holy Prophet (PBUH) in individual and social life can further strengthen a culture of peace and harmony.
The presence of women participants at the gathering was also significant.

At the conclusion of the event, which was filled with religious devotion and messages of peace, a special Munajat (supplication) was offered seeking the welfare of the country, its people, peace, and humanity.

The Munajat was led by Shah Sufi Dr. Shahzada Syed Saifuddin Ahmad Maizbhandari, the incumbent Imam of Maizbhandar Darbar Sharif.
