Another name of Bangladesh is Bangabandhu. Bangabandhu is synonymous with Bangladesh. Bangamata Sheikh Fazilatunnesa Mujib is the one who inspired Bangabandhu to become “Bangabandhu”. Bangamata Sheikh Fazilatunnesa Mujib is an integral part of the history of Bangladesh. She had managed the house, family and politics. Bangamata, who had a very straight forward life, had inspired Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman from behind the scenes. Her contribution to every movement and struggle in Bangladesh is undeniable. Therefore, it is time to spread the ideals of Bangamata Sheikh Fazilatunnesa Mujib and her way of life among the younger generation, which will inspire us to build a happy and prosperous Bangladesh under the leadership of Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina.
Education Minister Dr. Dipu Moni MP said this in a webinar of Barisal University on the occasion of the 91st birth anniversary of Bangamata Sheikh Fazilatunnesa Mujib. The webinar was organized by Bangamata Sheikh Fazilatunnesa Mujib Hall of Barisal University. Barisal University Vice-Chancellor Prof. Md. Sadequl Arefin presided over the webinar while Secretary of the Secondary and Higher Education Department of the Ministry of Education Md. Mahbub Hossain addressed the webinar as special guest. Bangamata Sheikh Fazilatunnesa Mujib Hall Provost Tasnuva Habib Jisan delivered the welcome speech.
President of Barisal University Teachers Association Md. Arif Hossain also spoke in the webinars among others. Vice Chancellor of Patuakhali University of Science and Technology, Vice Chancellor of Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujib Medical University, Vice Chancellor of Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman University of Science and Technology, Vice Chancellor of Rajshahi University, Vice Chancellor of Maulana Bhasani University of Science and Technology, Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman Aviation University Vice-Chancellor, different department heads of Barisal University Department, provosts, proctors, directors of different halls, faculty, students and University BCL leaders were also present in the webinar.
At the end of the webinar, the results of the quiz competition titled “Life and Work of Bangamata” organized at Barisal University were announced.
