TBT DESK: Meghna Bank PLC held its 12th Annual General Meeting (AGM) on Tuesday at the bank's head office in Madona Tower, Mohakhali, Dhaka. The session was chaired by Uzma Chowdhury, the esteemed Chairperson of the Board.
The meeting saw the presence of several prominent figures from the bank's leadership. Among them were Tanveer Ahmed, Chairman of the Executive Committee; Md Ali Akther Rezvi, FCA, Chairman of the Audit Committee; and Mr Mohammad Mamunul Hoque, Chairman of the Risk Management Committee. The AGM was also attended by Independent Directors Rajab Ali, M Nazrul Islam, and Habibur Rahman.
The bank's Managing Director and CEO, Kazi Ahsan Khalil, addressed the shareholders alongside Acting Company Secretary Sajib Kumar Saha, FCA. A significant number of shareholders participated in the session, reflecting strong interest in the bank's progress and future outlook.
During the meeting, the Board reiterated Meghna Bank's strategic focus on enhancing customer-centric banking services, broadening financial inclusion across communities, and contributing meaningfully to Bangladesh's economic development. The bank underscored its long-term vision of sustainable and inclusive growth.
The Chairperson expressed gratitude to the shareholders for their continued trust and support, affirming that the bank remains well-positioned to navigate future challenges and capitalise on emerging opportunities in the financial sector.
The AGM concluded on a note of optimism, with the leadership emphasising innovation, compliance, and responsible banking as cornerstones of Meghna Bank's growth strategy in the coming years.
