Dr. Jamal Uddin Ahmed pays courtesy visit at TBT

Serial entrepreneur, investor, physician, and celebrity expatriate, Dr. Jamal Uddin Ahmed who founded Blue Mountains (NZ) Limited paid a courtesy visit at the Head Quarters of The Bangladesh Today.

The editor and publisher of the media house, Md. Jobaer Alam gave him a warm reception. After exchanging greetings, Dr. Jamal discussed in brief about his latest ventures in Bangladesh.

Blue Mountains (NZ) Limited, incorporated in New Zealand, is going to set up a solar power plant spanning over 410 acres on an island in Meghna River.

The state of the art power plant will equip with advanced technologies and expected to generate and distribute 100 MW power to the national grid.
The company’s another vertical, will establish a five star hotel close to Osmani Inernational Airport in Sylhet.

It has already received franchise from the popular hotel chain, Radison Hospitality group. Both of these initiatives aimed to create scores of jobs, transfer of technology, produce valuable power for the national grid, as well as skill improvement for the youth of Bangladesh.
