Three people were killed and three others injured in a head-on collision between a truck and a covered van in Sirajganj’s Raiganj Upazila on Sunday morning.

According to locals, the incident took place on the Sirajganj-Bogura Highway in the Dadupur GR Bridge area of the upazila

The deceased were identified as Rashidul, 24, Rahman, 32, and Alamin, 20.

Sirajganj fire service DMD Abdul Hamid said that a total of three dead bodies were recovered from a pool next to the scene. Besides, three injured people also were recovered and sent to hospital.

The bodies are currently at the police station, the official said.
