Nischa collaborates with Raninagar police on Traffic Week campaign

The observance of Traffic Week in Raninagar upazila of Naogaon district began on Sunday to reinforce discipline on roads and highways. Police will conduct special operations to verify the legality of the vehicles, validity, registration, fitness, car license, driver’s license, insurance papers till 11th August.
A special operation was conducted on various vehicles at Grameen Bank mour and Al-Amin Dakhil Madrasa mour of the upazila on Sunday under the leadership of Officer-in-charge of Raninagar Police Station ASM Siddiqur Rahman along with companion forces marking the traffic week. During this time, ‘Nirapad Sarak Chai’ (Nischa) Raninagar unit collaborated with the police during their campaign.
On the campaign, Nischa distributed awareness leaflets among drivers, passengers and pedestrians. Officer in-charge Siddiqur Rahman greeted the drivers with red roses who have necessary documents.
During the whole campaign, President of Raninagar branch of Nischa, Saiduzzaman Sagar, women affairs secretary and female vice-chairman Sonia Islam, vice-president Zillur Rahman, Abul Bashar (Chanchal), general secretary Pavel Rahman, former president Bakhtiar Hossain Diamond, Hamidul Islam Motin, Erman Ali Mukta, Shamim Islam among others were present at the occasion.
Raninagar Police Station Officer-in-Charge ASM Siddiqur Rahman said that the drivers, passengers and pedestrians will have to follow the law. Otherwise, the road accident cannot be reduced. On the occasion of Traffic Week, he urged the people of Raninagar to be aware during movement on road.
