DHAKA, – Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina today gave financial assistance of Taka 140 crore to eight organizations.

“The prime minister handed over cheques for the amount to the authorities concerned of the eight organizations at her official Ganabhaban residence here this noon,” PM’s Press Secretary Ihsanul Karim said.

He said the premier gave Taka 25 crore each to Muktijuddho Jadughar, the Non-government Educational Institutions Teachers and Employees Welfare Trust, the Non-government Educational Institutions Teachers and Employees Retirement Benefit Board and the Government Primary School Teachers Welfare Trust.

Besides, Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujib Memorial Museum received Tk 15 crore and Bangamata Sheikh Fazilatunnesa Mujib Memorial KPJ Specialized Hospital and the Imam and Muezzin Welfare Trust received Tk 10 crore each from the prime minister.

The prime minister donated Tk five crore to Neurodevelopmental Disabled Protection Trust, the press secretary added.
