RAMC Shopping Complex launched in Rangpur

RANGPUR,  – An eight-storey international standard building “RAMC Shopping Complex” with all modern facilities was launched on Rangpur Army Medical College (RAMC) compound in the city this afternoon.

Quarter Master General of Bangladesh Army Lieutenant General Md. Shamsul Haque formally inaugurated the complex by unveiling plaque and releasing balloons in a colourful function held on its premises as the chief guest.

Later, the chief guest visited different floors of the fully air-conditioned shopping complex and planted a tree sapling on the complex premises near Rangpur Cantonment.

Earlier, Business community representative of RAMC Shopping Complex and Vice-president of Rangpur Chamber Manjur Ahmed Azad with other businesspersons welcomed the chief guest with wreaths on his arrival there.

Project Director of RAMC Shopping Complex Colonel Mong delivered welcome speech narrating different facilities available in the international standard and biggest shopping complex in Rangpur region.

Business community representative of RAMC Shopping Complex Rana Masud also spoke on the occasion discussing economic importance of the modern shopping complex for the northern region.

Rangpur Area Commander and General Officer Commanding (GOC) of 66 Infantry Division Major General Md. Nazrul Islam, high-ranking military, divisional and district level civil officials, businesspersons and invited journalists were present.

Rangpur Area Headquarters of Bangladesh Army implemented construction works of the complex having three lakh six thousand and 114 square feet total area, including basements and one lakh 79 thousand and 440 square feet shopping area on six floors.

The shopping complex has a total of 382 shops on the first, second, third, fourth, fifth and sixth floors and all of the shops have already been allocated to the businesspersons.
