DHAKA,  – Bangladesh Meteorological Department (BMD) today predicted heavy to very heavy rainfall in many parts of the country in the next 24 hours commencing 10am today.

“Due to active monsoon over Bangladesh heavy (44-88 mm) to very heavy (89 mm) rainfall is likely to occur at places over Rangpur, Mymensingh, Sylhet, Barishal and Chattogram divisions during next 24 hrs commencing 10:00 am today ( 08 July 2019)”, a BMD bulletin said here.

“Due to very heavy rainfall landslide may occur at places over the hilly regions of Chittagong division”, it added.
