Dhallywood gears up for a star-studded 2027 Eid

TBT DESK

Dhallywood is gearing up for an exciting 2027, with several big-budget films already announced and a number of popular stars preparing to return to the big screen. Several big-budget projects are being planned around the two Eid festivals, with shooting underway on some films while others are in the final stages of preparation.

Here is a look at the leading actors and their upcoming films expected to make a splash during the festive cinematic seasons.

Shakib Khan

Shakib Khan is set to star in the upcoming romantic-action film “Mohabbat”, directed by Himel Ashraf and produced by Arshad Adnan. The film is scheduled for theatrical release during Eid-ul-Azha 2027.

The project marks the third major collaboration between Shakib Khan, Himel Ashraf and Arshad Adnan, following the success of their previous films “Priyotoma” and “Rajkumar”. While Shakib Khan’s involvement has been confirmed, speculation continues over the female lead, with reports suggesting that Pakistani actress Kinza Hashmi may be cast. However, no official announcement has been made yet.

Besides “Mohabbat”, the megastar will also headline “Nissho”, a big-budget action-romance film directed by Mehedi Hasan Hridoy.

Afran Nisho

Afran Nisho is preparing for his fourth big-screen outing with “Kholnayok”. Directed by Vicky Zahed, the film is expected to hit theatres during Eid-ul-Fitr 2027. Toma Mirza will play the female lead in the film. The cast also includes Shahiduzzaman Selim, Chanchal Chowdhury, Intekhab Dinar and Kolkata-based actress Priyanka Sarkar.

Shariful Razz

Shariful Razz is set to appear in “Kanabhulo Paradox”, a film associated with producer Tanim Noor. Directed by Ayman Asib Shadhin and Sushmoy Sarkar, the project will feature Razz opposite Sabila Nur in the lead roles.

The actor is also expected to appear in another upcoming film titled “Premik”, adding to his anticipated big-screen appearances in 2027.

Siam Ahmed

Raihan Rafi’s upcoming film “Andhar”, featuring Siam Ahmed, Chanchal Chowdhury and Nazifa Tushi, is scheduled for release on 26 March 2027, marking Independence Day.

Siam will also star opposite Nazifa Tushi in filmmaker Shankha Dasgupta’s upcoming project “Abar Dekha Holo”.

The film is expected to arrive in theatres during one of the Eid festivals, although its release schedule has yet to be officially confirmed.

Russell Rana

Russell Rana, widely recognised for his portrayal of “Masud Rana”, is set to take on the central role in the action-drama film “Nasib”.

Produced by Arshad Adnan and directed by MD Iqbal, the film is being prepared for theatrical release during Eid-ul-Fitr 2027.

Bollywood actor Mukesh Rishi, known for portraying prominent antagonist roles, is set to play the villain in the film. The project will mark his debut in Bangladeshi cinema.
