A swimming competition was held in Gaibandha municipal park pond on Monday under the cultural and sports program. Private organization SKS Foundation organized the competition in collaboration with Palli Karma Sahayak Foundation.
Superintendent of Police Abdul Mannan Miah inaugurated the swimming competition as the chief guest. Focal person of cultural and sports staffs Mahfuz Faruq chaired a discussion meeting marking the swimming competition while among others Gaibandha municipal mayor Adv Shah Masud Jahangir Kabir Milon, Sadar Police Station Officer In-Charge Khan Mohammad Shahriar and Coordinator of SKS Foundation Ashraf Ali were also present at the occasion. The meeting was managed by Shampa Dev while the competition was conducted by Akram Hossain.
A total of 30 youths participated in the 200 meters swimming competition. Later, Superintendent of Police, Abdul Mannan Miah, distributed crests and medals to the winners.
